Miracle Baby
"Most women whose eggs develop outside the uterus suffer severe pain and bleeding in the early weeks of their pregnancy and are advised to abort because of the danger to themselves...This form of pregnancy is rare enough, but to have it go full term is unheard of."

todd: That's wacky, for sure. My guess is that such a pregnancy would never have gone to full term in an environment with better prenatal screening. The medical care in the Northern Territory of Australia must not have been very good.

Jim Cowie: She had ultrasounds at regular checkups, according to the article. Either they need a new (slightly less blind) ultrasonographer, or they need a less gullible news editorial staff. It's a small town, maybe they're the same guy!
