just seems like a bad idea, somehow...
so Marvel Comics has announced they will be releasing a comic book adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand." since their adaptation of Laurell K. Hamilton's "Guilty Pleasures" condensed a 266-page novel into 12 issues, i figure that means a 48-issue run for King's novel. recepie for disaster - that, or it'll be truncated into oblivion...

jessica: I'd be interested in seeing this series. I suppose part of the question of its quality depends on whether you think The Stand should be abridged or not. If you're open to alterations in plot and length, a derivative work might not be too bad.
