Reuters - John McCain, with little Republican opposition, focused on the November presidential election on Sunday while Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton prepared for their next big fight in Wisconsin.

As wisconsin goes, so goes the nation. It's ironic -- usually the earlier contests like New Hampshire are a place for the candidate to show off their details and substance -- in this case, Obama is just getting around to the substance part as he hits the stump in Wisconsin.

He should have done this from the start -- he could have won New Hampshire too :-)

Nice photo. Now *that* is a president.

Hillary tries that, she looks like she washed down 15 no-doze with espresso; McCain just ends up looking insane.

In all elections since television got involved, the more charismatic candidate has won. Obama is more charismatic. He will ultimately win.

Wait, but what if Clinton cries?

And yet history repeats itself again and again...

seriously, if it is McCain and Clinton? What will change?

the big problem i have with McCain (any Republican, really) is that he's going to kiss the right wing of the party's collective tuchass - even though they hate him.

I find Obama troubling. The people who love him cannot explain, in any concrete way, why they love him. The believe he is "honest" or will "change the way poltics works".

And the only people who really love him have heard him speak on tv or in person. that is the making of a demogogue and it worries me.

i don't "love" him. but i trust him farther than i do the Clinton machine. not that that takes very much at all.

I found myself liking Obama a lot after I read his first book. His second book is even more convincing. Read his 60+ page position paper. Look at just one issue -- health care. He promises to arm-twist to lower costs, unlike HRC who wants the tax payers to pay for everyone. (No, wait. She avoids saying that insurance premiums will be mandated to achieve "universal coverage." ) But don't get me started.
