Reality Check: Can honey soothe a burn?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns that applying butter or various popular ointments, for example, can increase the risk of infection. But at least one remedy, honey, has held up well.

Shimon: todd: there's a word to describe this phenomenon. It's called "keming". Keming is the use of kerning in a way that causes confusion.

jessica: This news simply justifies something humans have known for ages. There's a real reason why honey and lemon are in throat drops.
