eBay CEO Meg Ryan steps down; denies run for California Governor --…
The perky C-level exec announced in January that she would be leaving the troubled auction company to resume her acting career and focus on her family, according to coverage by Wikiwire, Wikipedia's experimental social-news service.

The star of such hit movies as Sleepless in Chicago and Working Girl, Ryan denied that recent tensions with eBay's restive seller community had played a role in her decision. She failed to quash rumors that she might soon announce her candidacy for California governor, chirping her trademark catchphrase, "I'm coming back."

A spokesman for the company told WikiWire that Ryan will be replaced at eBay by another guy. The company's stock (AMEX:EEB) was apparently unaffected by the news.
