never thought i'd want to be a tree shrew...

but apparently the Malaysian pen-tailed tree shrew could drink any human being under the table. "... we hypothesise that moderate to high alcohol intake was present early on in the evolution of these closely related lineages." cute little boozers, too.

"Yet the animals, which are about the size of a small rat, do not seem to get drunk at all, researchers say." Maybe that's just because they're so used to being drunk, that's become their norm, kinda like some heavy drinkers I've known.
