Several of the local liquor stores and beer marts (in Madison, WI) have been promoting absinthe since it became legal here about 6 months ago. I, for one, love the propaganda[rtwork] that we created early last century to convince our public that absinthe ruined the mind and lives.

I probably did not read this book as attentively as Mark-Jason Dominus, since he was preparing to write a review. I would have to say, though that I think quite highly of Higher Order Perl by Dominus himself ("higher order" seems to be slang for functional programming.) Worth every penny.

I hadn't conceptually split git into these two parts, but the VMS-like versioned filesystem behaviour of git is what makes the distributed VCS so natural a git fit. Good observation, todd.
