I agree that there is an issue, I don't want to just go do something that will cause more problems without testing it first. Everybody seems to have a ”solution” to the problem, but I don't think they spend enough time really thinking it through.

Hrm... I read somewhere that the next version of OpenOffice will have Google Docs integration. It will be interesting to see how this progresses.

I have to say the the Grid CSS stuff is pretty cool. I've been using it on a pet project, and it was much faster than trying to create a layout on my own.

It is an interesting idea. When I went to look at a couple of topics though, the interface seemed quite clumsy and confusing. My initial impression is that the system would be too complicated for a broad audience, and would only be interesting to those that are the most vocal about topics.
